This release
- Version
- 1.0.6
- Released
- 8 October 2026
- Size
- 28.7 MB
New: the agent can create and edit Revit families (templates, geometry, parameters, flex check). Level and parameter names are now recognised despite typos, case or spacing differences. Level elevations are reported in millimetres. Bug fixes and stability improvements.
Installing
-
Step 1
Close Revit
The installer writes into your Revit Addins folder. Revit only reads it at startup, so it has to be closed.
-
Step 2
Unpack and run
The archive holds one file — the installer. It installs for the current user only and never asks for administrator rights. Every Revit version it finds support for is set up in one pass.
-
Step 3
Start Revit
A VI MCP tab appears on the ribbon. Open it and press Connect — the 30-day trial starts on the first connection, with no card and no sign-up form.
-
Step 4
Connect Claude
Install the Claude app and restart it — VI MCP connects to it automatically. The Claude setup guide in Help walks through every step.
If Windows warns you
SmartScreen shows “Windows protected your PC” for installers it has not seen often enough yet, which includes this one. Choose More info and then Run anyway.
