Why it matters. A keynote on an element with an empty Keynote parameter prints nothing. Approving “place 40 keynotes” when twelve are empty is how a drawing goes out looking finished.

What VI MCP does. The dry run counts the empty ones, because that is the number being approved. A mark on one of those prints blank on the issued drawing.
